A Pocosa analysis of the nurse practitioners deployment in Canada (2017)

The following summary has been taken from the NP Canada Pocosa english video.

Nurse practitioners are often referred to as super nurses. They are nurses with more extensive training and a broader scope of practice. All over the world, including in Canada, they are seen as a way to increase the performance of, and to increase access to, the health care system. As part of a research project the Pocosa research chair in collaboration with nursing students from the University of Montreal collected data from all 10 Canadian provinces to try and see what NPs actually do. They looked at two major dimensions, the first being supervision and training and the second concerning scope of practice. To view results, please click here to go directly to the You Tube video.
